Dr. Michael Wainaina Githii

Githii is a lecturer in the Department of Management Science and Project Planning, University of Nairobi. He is an accomplished teacher, researcher and consultant and enjoys using these skills to advance the discipline of Operations Management in Kenya. He holds a PhD degree in Operations Management (University of Birmingham, UK), MBA and Bachelor of Commerce degrees (University of Nairobi) and is a CPA (K). 

 

Githii is interested in the quality of work/education and positively
encourages his colleagues, students and other stakeholders to work hard towards this goal. Administratively, he has previously been the coordinator of the MBA program and later held the position of the Associate Dean Undergraduate Studies and Operations in the then School of Business. In his free time, Githii likes to hike, watch EPL football and reading Philosophy.

 Dr. Reuben Kikwatha
 Dr. Reuben Kikwatha holds a doctorate in Project Management from the University of Nairobi with specializations in Design, Planning, And Implementation of Projects. Additionally, he holds a Master of Arts in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Community Development from Moi University. Currently, he is a lecturer in the Department of Management Science and Project Planning at the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences of the University of Nairobi. In addition to teaching, supervising students, conducting research, and consulting, Dr. Kikwatha has been involved in the design, planning, and management of social development projects for more than 20 years working with different organizations in Kenya. Dr Kikwatha is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), Member of the Kenya Association of Project Managers (KAPM) and the Kenya Association of Fundraisers

DR MWENDA MARY

Mary Nyawira Mwenda (PhD) holds a doctorate degree in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi (UoN), with a specialization in Project Design, Planning and Implementation. Holds a Master of Arts degree in Project Planning and Management, (UoN) and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Arts), (UoN). A lecturer of Project Management in the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, UoN.

A member of Project Management Institute, global and local chapter – Kenya.  Has published journal papers in the field of project management and is a member of the Annual International Conference of Project Planning and Management organizing committee.

Robert Agwot Komakech
Robert Agwot Komakech is a Research Fellow at Uganda Management Institute (UMI). Before joining UMI, he served as the Head of the Department, of Business Studies and Founding Deputy Director, of the Center for International Cooperation at Kumi University. Komakech has over 15 years of progressive teaching experience at the Secondary and University levels. He has made a number of paper presentations at local and international workshops and conferences and has published in Local and International referred Journals within his areas of academic competence and research interest. He is serving as Editorial Board Team, Advances in Politics and Economics (APE)-USA; Guest Reviewer at Athens Journal of Education, Greece; Associate Reviewer at Africa Education Evaluation, Zeetarz Publishing; Guest Reviewer at African Educational Research Journal (AERJ), Nigeria; and an Active Member, Uganda Textbook Academic and Non-Fiction Authors Association (UTANA)-Uganda. He has supervised and graduated over 65 Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. He has conducted consultancy and numerous training with national and International Organisations including the UNESCO-UNITWIN programme Chaired by Handong Global University, South Korea. His research interests are in areas of; Public Procurement, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Circular Economy and Education (with a focus on secondary and higher education teaching and governance), Public Sector Reforms, and Research Methodology.

Dr. Kingsford Muriithi Rucha 

Dr. Kingsford Rucha is a holder of Ph.D in Suppy Chain Management; MBA in  Operations/Strategic management; BSc in Applied Maths & Physics; and a Diploma in Clearing,
Warehousing Freight Forwarding from Kenya Maritime College in Mombasa. He is a Certified Procurement and Supply Chain Practitioner; Certified M&E Professional; Certified
Environmental, Social Impact Analyst and CCNA certified.


Currently he is an academic staff member at the prestigious Faculty of Business and Management Science, Department of Management Science and Project Planning of the
University of Nairobi. Dr. Rucha has over 20 years of experience in various managerial, training, consultancy and research spheres. He has participated in many consultancy, research and
training forums as a consultant spanning through quality management, project management, organisational restructuring, strategic management, M&E, operations management, logistics and supply chain management as well as in funded research activities. He was a researcher in the policy influencing study “Assessment Report on Socio-Economic
Impact of Operationalization of the Standard Gauge Railway on the Port City of Mombasa”. 

Dr. Rucha is a full member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM), Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), Operations Management Society of Kenya (OMSK) and also a consulting member with Optisat Consultants.
